This project provides various sessions of entrepreneurship workshops to women from diverse backgrounds. These workshops are designed to empower participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to successfully develop their homemade brands.

Beneficiaries:
Service Types:

Social Problem

  • Grassroots women face difficulty finding flexible jobs in the labor market as they need to take care of children and are often under-educated.
  • Women from grassroots can only take jobs with high working hours, low skills and low pay as they are less competitive to counterparts who are more educated or their academic qualifications are not accepted in Hong Kong

Social Innovation

  • The food factory operates 24 hours a day. Participants only need to make a reservation in advance to produce products without being restricted by the opening hours of the venue
  • The project will cooperate with AI technology and use technologies such as reservation systems, home smart systems and security systems to reduce operational cost but also keep the factory safe and efficient.
  • The project will also be the first social welfare unit in Hong Kong to cooperate with AI technology

Expected Social Impact

  • 100 grassroots women in both local and diverse races benefit from 212 sessions of entrepreneurship courses, 9 sessions of personality workshop and develop 50 homemade brands at the end of the project
  • Provide selling opportunities for 100 project participants by organising and participating in 21 bazaars with the collaboration of various community parties
  • Open up to 3600 hours of the 24-hour food factory to create a flexible entrepreneurial environment for participants
  • 300 grassroots individuals benefit from 50 homemade products provided by the grassroots entrepreneurs
  • Organize 24 sessions of team building activity to expand social network of the target beneficiaries
