Beneficiaries:
Service Types:

Social Problem

  • Caregivers are under great psychological pressure and anxiety, and are prone to physical and mental health problems, which will further affect family relationships and increase the demand for social welfare resources.

Social Innovation

  • An innovative mental health support program for family carers is provided by combining exhibition artistic expression with youth carer volunteers
  • Express feelings through experiencing art and then bring it to the local family caregiver volunteer service, leading carers to express their feelings through art
  • By integrating positive psychology theory and social art activities, the care journeys are supported with PERMA’s five elements of happiness (positive relationships, positive emotions, positive meaning, full commitment, and a sense of accomplishment)

Expected Social Impact

  • 175 carers of elderly persons prioritising low-income families will benefit from a series of floral healing and artistic expression workshops
  • 20 young carers and youths who are knowledgeable about community carers’ mental health topics will join with 6 training sessions and at least 2 voluntary community practice activities
