Moti4Learn – Bright Mage Academy

Helping 1740 primary school students increase learning motivation, improve academic performance and foster social inclusion through adopting a mobile role-play game (RPG) app which has already been developed by the applicant.

Beneficiaries:
Service Types:

Social Problem

  • Struggle to keep up with the rigorous curriculum and fast pace of learning in Hong Kong's highly competitive education system due to lack of access to additional academic support
  • Unable to participate in extracurricular activities with peers that require significant financial investment, leading to feelings of isolation from their more affluent peers

Social Innovation

  • Uses cutting-edge technology to synergize effective pedagogical elements, captivating gameplay, collaborative peer interactions, and adaptive, self-directed learning - all while delivering quality curriculum-aligned academic content
  • A Parent Mode that allows parents, especially those from low-income families with limited availability, to remotely engage in their children's learning

Expected Social Impact

  • To help 1740 primary school students (50% of which from low-income families) regain their motivation to learn through adopting a mobile role-play game (RPG) app which has already been developed by the applicant with separate funding.
  • Engage 10 NGO centres to organise 20 summer holiday classes using the enhanced RPG app to serve 240 students (at least 50% of which from low-income backgrounds)
  • The platform is promoted to 1,500 students. The "AI Smart Assessment" can help students achieve spontaneous and independent learning without the support of tutors.
