Rejuvenating your mind and home!

Enhance the physical and mental well-being of full-time child carers living in inadequate housing by providing home organising services and mindfulness skills coaching for them.

Social Problem

  • Full-time grassroots child carers spend an average of more than eight hours per day providing care, shouldering the pressure of caregiving independently at home, and are unable to engage in normal social activities due to financial constraints.
  • Those living in inadequate housing even face the dual challenges of dealing with physical and mental stress as well as cramped living conditions. These challenges become overwhelming, leading to various negative emotional issues.

Social Innovation

  • The project provides first-of-its-kind home organising services and mindfulness skills coaching to full-time child carers living in inadequate housing.
  • The project utilizes mindfulness activities to assist the beneficiaries in improving emotional management and relieving stress.

Expected Social Impact

  • Offering home organising services and mindfulness skills coaching to 20 full-time child carers living in inadequate housing.
  • Providing internships to trained participants to make good use of what they have learnt in the home organising services.
  • Conducting mutual support group gatherings for participants to share their progress in home organising and practice mindfulness techniques regularly.
  • Organising 2 achievement sharing sessions and photo galleries to enhance public and social service workers' understanding of home organizing services.
